In the script, you have to change :

  • the path to your bin directory in PETALS_BIN
  • the user who run petals after the '-u' option in both command start and stop

Great job Thierry. Thanks for the contribution.

I will put your contribution forward to our product manager to be integrated in the next release.

I think that we will put your script (with some changes) in $PETALS_HOME/bin, so you can just add a symbolic link to the script into your directory /etc/init.d. Next to start/stop Petals automatically, just add symbolic link to the link of /etc/init.d into your directory /etc/rcX.d.

A script to automatically start/stop Petals has bee added. It is available through in the Debian package of Petals ESB.
This script is compliant with the Debian policies
